Newbie from central Mass

Hello all! Just introducing myself -- since I've been lurking awhile. I'm a bit intimidated over at the Canon forum (POTN) and wanted to find a more low-key and friendly place.

I have been taking pictures as a hobby for over 32 years. Started out with a Brownie camera, then a real SLR camera (Pentax K100 that still works), learned B&W darkroom skills, had a few point and shoot cameras (found them completely frustrating), and currently have a Canon 20D which I LOVE. With all that said, I still consider myself FAR from being an expert. I think if it were my profession, it would take some of the fun out of it! LOL!

My favorite things to take pictures of: old cars, flowers, windows, and my son.

I just uploaded some pictures to my Flickr account from the 2007 Summer Nationals in Worcester, MA over the 4th of July week. I look forward to this every year!

WOW! You've definitely excelled at your hobby. I really love the car photos. Especially those of the old police cruiser.

Let me be one of the first to welcome you to our humble online home. We're definitely glad you decided to join and we hope that you cannot only get a lot out of this forum, but add to it as well.

I am glad we have low-key's here cause we always lose those damn things anyways!

You will like the fun here!! Its a great 2nd or 5th home!
